June 29, 2009 Jen Carmean: Tattoo artist and owner of Monarch Tattoo (and Great dane rescuer). I started in a street shop just off the Las Vegas strip, in a mall that had a bail bondsman and a methadone clinic. Tattooing wasn't cool yet, and we worked with guns on the counters a lot of the time...but I got to meet some really great people, and it was as fun as it was crazy. Creeper worked there 4 days a week, so I learned mostly from him(something I am eternal grateful for) I came back to Jersey and worked for Shotsie for eight years until I convinced him to sell me his smaller "West" shop location. It's in the middle of the only undeveloped area of New Jersey, but it's been home since 1996, and it's cool to see the bears when you take out the garbage. I fixed it up, and put some tlc into it, and now it's really nice. I work with John Bergin III. We have a new front guy named Justin Devoe, who can hook you up with one of us, or help you find what you are looking for. I work by appointment only.		• Myspace • • Inkednation •
